Our village lies in the northern edge of the Košice basin at an altitude of about 352 m at a distance of 3 km from the regional town of Prešov in the picturesque surroundings of the Šariš region in eastern Slovakia.
The Šebastovka stream, which springs in Slanské vrchy, flows through the village.
The first written mention of the village is from the years 1272-1290.
The village was founded by settlers with Šoltýs according to the law of purchase.
King Ladislav IV of Hungary.
(1272-1290) donated Vyššebeš property to Zeman Peter, Ladislav, Imrich and Dančs son Buda.
